March 9, 2024: This restaurant is unique, especially in South Louisiana!

Was it a special occasion?

The pictures are from two different occasions. The last picture is from my birthday, the others are from a day when we just wanted a unique and delicious meal.

What did we eat?

The pictures (below) are from two different occasions. On one occasion, I had the "Southwest Grilled Shrimp Salad," and on another occasion, I had the "Build Your Own Plate." I can't remember what my son ordered, but he said it was great. Hubs had a "Mediterranean Chicken Bowl." Every meal and every dish is always exceptional!

What did we drink?

Wine, water, and the best was the Spicy Baja Margarita rimmed with Tajin (pictured below.)

How was the service?

The service is always polished, but not uptight.

Any surprises?

My experience with the bartender, "Cupid" (his last name) was surprising. We went on a busy Saturday and didn't have reservations. Luckily, there were a couple of seats at the bar. Cupid was "new to his position" and I had a front row seat as he made beautiful drinks. From the Spicy Baja Margarita (pictured below) to the Garden Basil Martini and Hibiscus Fizz, he did a phenomenal job! He was non-stop busy, and his patience and great attitude was so impressive. I asked if I could take a picture to include on my website, and after asking what my site was about, told me a story about a friend who had died. He said, his friend used to say, "Violence is the weapon of the past, and LOVE is the weapon of the future." That was quite a quote from a guy named, Cupid.

Pictured Left: The Southwest Grilled Shrimp Salad was huge AND delicious. Every ingredient tasted fresh, and the spinach WAS washed! (Salad lovers know when the greens are straight out of the bag.)

Pictured Right: Mediterranean Chicken Bowl. This salad was huge, and Hubs said it was the perfect amount to fill him up! (He has a healthy appetite.)

Pictured Below: "Build Your Own Plate" served with herbed ancient grains, rustic grilled bread, shrimp, and roasted veggies. This was too much for me to eat at one sitting! So delicious.

Pictured Below: Spicy Baja Margarita (half gone) rimmed with Tajin. I planned to drink a glass of Cabernet but watching Cupid (below) mix all the pretty drinks made me want to venture out. It was so good!

Pictured left: He was "new to the position," but he did an incredible job, was busy non-stop, and mixed drinks with reverence.

Pictured Right: My baby boy. He found

BLDG 5 when he was a student at LSU. He introduced me to the restaurant for my birthday. He was right: I love it!
