COME FIND ME THERE

For nearly three years, every Thursday, I have written an article for The Divine in the Daily. And every Thursday, I have shared it on various social media platforms, with Facebook being my most-used platform.
From the beginning, though, I understood one important thing about sharing on social media: I don’t own that space. That is why I built The Divine in the Daily on its own website.
Facebook and other social media platforms have always been where I share links to my writing, but the website is where my work actually lives. I like to say I own that little piece of internet real estate, and it gives me control over how I manage the content.
Recently, Meta gave me a pretty good reminder of why that matters. Meta has begun rolling out new subscription plans for creators and businesses, including limits on the number of posts containing outside links that some Facebook Pages can publish without paying. In other words, the link I have faithfully included every Thursday, the one that takes you from Facebook to my own website, may soon come with a price. And I really don’t want to pay Meta for the privilege of sending you to my own front door.
So, after nearly three years, I am finally going to do something I should have been doing all along. I’m asking you to subscribe to The Divine in the Daily. (And I’ve made subscribing easy. Anywhere you see blue text in this article, I’ve linked it directly to my website’s subscription page.)
Subscribing is completely free. As a subscriber, you'll be notified when I publish something new, and you won’t have to depend on Facebook to decide whether to put my post in your feed.
I’ll still be on Facebook and share as often as I can, but I would love for our connection not to depend entirely on a platform neither of us controls.
So if you have read something I've written over these past three years, if something has made you laugh, think, remember, pray, or notice a little more of the Divine hiding in your own daily life, I hope you’ll subscribe.
There is another reason the timing feels right. While building The Divine in the Daily, I have also been working toward something else: completing my first novel.
Actually, I have been writing, rewriting, deleting, rearranging, questioning, laughing, occasionally losing my mind, and then writing some more for quite a while.
A World Built by Love is my debut novel, and if all goes according to plan, it will be published by the end of this year or early 2027. When it does, you’ll see a slightly different name on the cover. I’ll be publishing it under my maiden name, Luci Lovoi.
I started the novel long before The Divine in the Daily, but life kept happening, and I kept pushing it to the back burner, as I tend to do with too many important things. (I’m foolish like that!)
If the thought of reading my debut novel interests you, here is a sneak peek at the current back-cover copy. (It could change if my new editor tells me it should, but for now, this is it!)

A World Built by Love is a family drama set in Thibodaux, Louisiana, during the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Nola LeBlanc talks to God like she talks to everyone else, honestly, sarcastically, and usually mid-crisis. Between a mother-in-law whose mind is slipping, two grown sons who still give her plenty to worry about, and a marriage held together by humor as much as love, Nola has spent years believing she understands the people closest to her.
She doesn't.
As Christmas approaches, the carefully ordered world Nola has built begins to shift. People aren't quite who she thought they were. Relationships are more complicated. Old assumptions begin to unravel. And some of the people Nola thought she knew best have been keeping secrets of their own. Along the way, Nola finds herself confronting questions about faith, forgiveness, friendship, motherhood, and how much of loving someone means learning to let go.
Warm, funny, and deeply rooted in South Louisiana, A World Built by Love is a story about the families we're given, the ones we choose, and the quiet, staggering love that builds something eternal out of ordinary days.

I love the sneak peek. Can’t wait to read the full thing!
